Montelukast

Montelukast is used to prevent breathing difficulties, chest tightness, cough, and wheezing caused by asthma in adults and children 12 months of age and older.
Montelukast is used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and seasonal.
Montelukast is also used in adults and children 2 years of age and older and to treat symptoms of perennial.
It is also used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis in adults and children 6 months of age and older, and to prevent bronchospasm (difficulty breathing) during exercise.
Montelukast is a type of leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA). Leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs) work by blocking natural substances in the body called leukotrienes that cause the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and asthma.
